A question about amino acid names & numbers?
I read a text in a biology book, and I dont understand what they mean when they say 198SerSerGlySerThrGlyLeuProLysGly207 . I understand the acronyms... Serine Serine Glycine Serine ... etc. But whats with the numbers? Does it mean that there are 198 amino acids before Ser, and 207 amino acids after Gly?
