Why does my staffy act like this?

i own a gorgeous 8yr old staffy.hes great in evry way,but this.as soon as any1 comes to our house,he barks no end,gets shoes,and throws them in the air,jumps up,and tries to hump people.he goes mad.after half hr,he calms down..that half hr seems never ending plz advise
