Christians....what do you think about the whole "Burn the Quran" day?

As an atheist, I think it's disrespectful to burn the Quran, Bible, Torah etc... to make a statement or in public. I think that if you are home ALONE and trying to build a fire in the fireplace and need paper PRONTO, then it's okay to throw a few holy books in there to keep it going. I mean, who's it going to hurt if they don't know?
