What to use on a new lip piercing?

I just recently had the left side of my bottom lip pierced. The man who did it has been doing piercings and tattoos for almost as long as I've been alive. he told me I could use Listerine and Gly-Oxide to clean the inside of my piercing. But every website I go to says something else. Anyone who has their lip pierced, what did you do to make sure the piercing healed correctly?
